Flying in over the Timor Sea for a first visit to Darwin
It seems an age since we booked our adventure in the Northern Territory, but our departure date has arrived!
Our first stopover will be in the capital city of Darwin, and it is my first visit to the Territory. Briefly, our itinerary is to have the first afternoon and night in Darwin, then set off on a two day tour to Kakadu. On return to Darwin we have half day tours planned to the World War II sites, then a Darwin City Tour.
A day tour to Litchfield National Park is next on the agenda, then on our last day we had planned a half day Wildlands Wetlands Safari, but unfortunately that has now been changed to a Jumping Crocs tour on our last afternoon in Darwin.
The Ghan train will then take us to Alice Springs, on the way stopping for a cruise on Katherine Gorge. From Alice Springs we go by coach west for a three day tour to Ulura, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. On return to Alice Springs we have a few days to wait for the train, so have arranged tours to Palm Valley and the West Mac Donnell Ranges, and an Alice Springs City tour.
The last leg will be a return to the Ghan for an overnight to Adelaide, an afternoon in the City of Churches, then our flight home.
I hope you enjoy the ride with me!
